Shooting an oldtimer Vauxhall Kadett [Setup Shot]

Shooting an oldtimer Vauxhall Kadett [Setup Shot]

A while ago I shot a 1973 old Vauxhall Kadett & people have been asking me how…. Here’s the original shot & the setup shot for my fellow photography junkies!

2x 500w bowens Lights on each side, An aperture of F/10 & a shutterspeed of 1/100 – To block out the sun that was still pretty much out there, coming from the right side.

I’ve never really shot a car before apart from a quick snapshot of my own. But this 1973 was so much fun to shoot! It felt like it had a soul but that could be because I know the story behind it.

… And this is how they’ll come out!

The owner got this car as a gift from his dad in 1984. It was falling apart at the time since it was 11 years old and he didn’t really have the money/space to invest in fixing it back then. Now we’re in 2013 and it looks like it’s brand new. Every tiny little screw on this car is pure perfection and original. You can just feel the love and afford that has gone into this car. Even the interior is spotless!
